The band has garnered attention for having four lead singers, creating a rich sound that never fails to transfix the audience. Siblings Ian Hölljes, Eric Hölljes, and Brittany Hölljes joined forces with friends Elizabeth Hopkins, Mike McKee, and Grant Emerson to create Delta Rae, blending country, folk, and rock influences to create a completely new sound. The group was discovered and signed by Warner Bros. music executive Seymour Stein, who discovered greats like Madonna, Talking Heads, and the Ramones.
Delta Rae may have begun in Durham, North Carolina, but it has taken fans by storm all over the country. “If I Loved You,” a single featuring Fleetwood Mac’s Lindsay Buckingham, was hailed by FUSE for showing “the ups and downs of a rocky relationship, eschewing delusional romanticism for raw candor.” Their 2013 EP, Chasing Twisters, showcases the country flair and folksy elements that have gained the group such an overwhelming amount of positive attention.
Last year, Delta Rae was nominated by Rolling Stone for its annual Women Who Rock competition, and the band has been hailed by the magazine for its “unique blend of blue-eyed soul and Americana rock.” This dynamic group is best experienced live, where you can enjoy their powerful vocals and exquisite instrumentals in person. And there’s no better place to soak up the musical stylings of Delta Rae than Spirit Mountain Casino!
Spirit Mountain is delighted to provide guests with the rare opportunity to see this breakout southern band perform in the Northwest. Join us on for a memorable evening of music and entertainment!
